NECESSARY TOOLS NEEDED TO START INTERNET BUSINESS

Every successful business must have adequate equipment for it to get maximum productivity and good profit in returns.  So to start Internet Business, you need the following equipment. These are:

• A Computer System of good configuration
• An Internet Connection either 12/24 hours subscription or access to a Cyber café
• Email Addresses
• A Credit Card
• A Mobile Phone
• A Well Target & Higher List/Niche
• Good Product/Services to your List
• A Reliable Payment Processor (either offline or online)
• A cheap Marketing Channel

A COMPUTER SYSTEM
You will need a laptop or complete computer system of your own with good configuration from Pentium 3 or in a Cyber Café so that you can easily proof-read, make editing and check what you have downloaded on the internet.

AN INTERNET CONNECTION
You can’t do internet business without internet connection because the internet is the platform you use in operating the business. We have lots of internet connection companies now in Nigeria. Some of them are GLO, MTN, Zain, Starcomms, Etisalat, Zoom and so on. I advise you to walk up to any of their outlet and make enquiries about their internet models.

EMAIL ADDRESSES
You need at least five (5) new free email addresses from either www.gmail.com or www.yahoo.com. Your email is synonymous to your offline files on your table in office. You could tag your email names like “Product Email” which you use to attach all your digital products, while the second email can be named “Customer Relations Email” which you can use to answer your customer’s challenging questions. The third email can be tagged “Research Emails” which you’ll always use when you have the opportunity to get free digital products on the internet and so on.

A CREDIT CARD
You need a Credit Card to purchase quality digital products you see on the internet. Some good places where you can get credit card to buy resources online are www.epaymonster.com, www.voguepay.com and so on

Internet Business is also called Online Business or Electronic Commerce (e-commerce) and anybody can get involved; there is no age barrier, education barrier, cultural barrier, language barrier, sex difference or national barrier.

There are three (3) groups of person ONLINE:

• The Sellers
• The Lookers

THE BUYERS: These are the group of people that log on to the Internet to order for products and services on the Internet. Some of these buyers are researchers, learners, information marketers and so on. They buy things ranging from e-books, audio CDs, videos, books, manuals to softwares.

Internet is an information super-highway that has compressed the world into a cyber colony (i.e. village/community).

According to a recent research I did in 2008, I discovered that the volume of Internet traffic is expected to double annually over the next five years.

This statement implies that the Internet is growing so rapidly that it is becoming rarer to find a household without access to the internet.

The Internet has become one of the best ways to market your product and show the identities or character of your company. The internet is a world-wide broadcasting avenue, a medium for information dissemination and interaction between individuals without regards for geographic locations.

Several scholars describe Internet from different perspectives as it applies to them but in this book, I will describe the internet as a MARKET PLACE.

The Internet is a market place and the largest market today in the whole world with more than 5 BILLIONS WEBSITES and traffic of more than 140 MILLION PEOPLE DAILY. It is just like a normal offline market.
